Plants look more lovely, Wright claimed, when presented in the context of the clean geometric shapes of a building and its extensions. As with all other ornamental furnishings, Frank Lloyd Wright-designed these urns himself as strong finishing elements to his structures.

In Europe, dry cast stone has been around for centuries and has proven to be a quality, durable, and most attractive alternative to other materials such as terra cotta, clay, and fiberglass or plastic.
