    This is the largest fountain-and-basin combination Giannini offers: the Grand Chateau 4 Tier at 101 inches — over eight feet — and 4,500 pounds, with a basin around it. Water leaves through side spillways rather than over the rims, so it falls clear and lands at four separate levels. At this scale the piece is a landmark for a forecourt, an estate entrance or a civic space, and both the bearing foundation and the delivery access need working out before it ships. It also helps during winterization by shielding the fountain and preserving its finish and components. Note: The cover fits the fountain only and does not cover the basin below.
      • 300D: The 300 Denier canvas cover is ideal for moderate to high weather
      • 600D: The 600 Denier canvas cover is ideal for moderate to severe weather
    Important: Install on leveled ground

    Important: The location you choose for your fountain should be firm and level, both for safety and the fountain's performance. Fountains with a basin should be installed on a thin layer of sand, approximately ½" to 1" in depth, on top of a concrete pad to reduce the risk of stress cracks to the basin and help with leveling. Pedestal-style fountains should be installed on a solid-level foundation. If needed, a concrete pad can be used as a base to avoid erosion caused by rain, sprinklers or splash. It will also prevent the fountain from becoming unlevel.
