    Obelisk Set of Two - #8032

    Obelisks are sold as a pair because that is how they work — one either side of a gate, a flight of steps, or the entrance to a garden room, framing what lies beyond. Each stands 51 inches, and the optional pedestals add 16 inches, bringing them to 67. The obelisk is one of the oldest garden devices there is, a tapering pillar that draws the eye upward, and a pair of them does more to formalise an entrance than almost anything else at this price. Cast in reinforced concrete. Made to order in the USA.

    Important: Install on leveled ground

    Important: The spot you choose should be firm and level. These pieces are heavy. On soft or uneven ground a piece this weight will settle over time, and settling is what makes it lean or crack. Set it on a solid, level base. A concrete pad works well, and it also stops rain, sprinklers and splash from eroding the ground underneath and pulling the piece out of level.
